About Us
A Ray of Care, LLC understands that no two people age in the same way. There isn’t a predicable path or timeline, no precise formula for solving problems. It can be confusing to choose what to do next. Maybe what did work, is no longer working.
We can help you navigate the maze in the healthcare system. We are like a project manager for your loved one’s health. We’ll connect you to the appropriate medical and non-medical resources, schedule appointments, follow up after appointments, and make sure everyone on your health care team is working together to achieve the same goals. We look at all the pieces and put them together.
We are your voice in the healthcare system. We can accompany you to appointments, and talk directly to the physicians, medical service providers—even insurers—to address your concerns, translate “doctor-speak,” and advocate on your behalf for the most appropriate care.
We understand how overwhelming and confusing it can be to care for an elderly family member. Trying to navigate the health care system, understanding options for care, handling payment issues and searching for available resources can feel like a full-time job.
It becomes more complicated when you don’t live close by or family members don’t agree on what’s best. We guide families through the myriad of issues that must be addressed as loved ones age and as health care needs increase.
Holly has witnessed countless patients and caregivers struggle to navigate the complex healthcare system in search of appropriate medical solutions. Driven by an overwhelming patient need, and her own experiences caring for her aging family members failing health and working as a hospice nurse, she founded A Ray of Care, LLC.
Our mission: to provide clear solutions—and peace of mind—for families faced with health and aging challenges.
Unlike many care managers who come from social work backgrounds, Holly has years of medical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse and as a Personal Care Home Administrator. Her deep understanding of healthcare enables her to work with patients, families, and medical professionals to explain complex issues and find the right solutions.
As an independent nurse, Holly works for you and your loved one—not a healthcare facility or organization. That means you always get honest, unbiased recommendations and plans centered on your long-term goals.
We help families:
Facilitate communication, especially with out-of-town family members, or those having difficulty agreeing on the best path forward for their loved one
Understand and implement solutions for senior care challenges
Connect with available community resources
Gain peace of mind knowing their loved one’s needs are being met, keeping their dignity and independence and individual personality in mind
Because we stay up to date on the swiftly changing healthcare environment, we’ll be your advocate in navigating the challenging process of understanding, accessing and implementing various programs to benefit your loved one.
Let us guide you through this confusing and frustrating process with the benefit of our expertise, years of experience and our relationships with local resources. We help you develop and implement a plan that ensures your and your loved one’s needs are addressed in a compassionate and respectful manner, while providing comfort to you and your family.
What People Are Saying
I just wanted you to know what a big difference you and your team are making in a person's life. She just called to check in on me (nice surprise) and brought up how much she likes Lori. She sounds better than I have heard her in two years. Thank you so much for helping us and please pass my thanks to the rest of your team.
We are so fortunate to have found Holly Reigh and her team! They initially conducted a needs assessment and created a personalized care plan for our sister, including recommendations for safety changes in the house. Holly also adjusts the care plan as our sister’s needs change and gives us regular updates. Our sister is so happy with the care and companionship, and we are comforted knowing all is well since we don’t live locally. Thank you A Ray of Care!
